Focus groups in Cyprus and Ireland

As part of the FinaLY project, two focus groups with university students were held—in Cyprus on 19/11/2024 and in Ireland on 10/12/2024. The goal was to explore young adults’ financial habits, challenges, and knowledge in real-life scenarios like budgeting, saving, investing, and managing digital transactions 💳💡

In both countries, students expressed concerns about day-to-day money management over long-term planning. While they showed awareness of financial tools, many lacked confidence or structured habits. Digital security and credit card management were common weak points, and investment knowledge was limited and cautious.

These findings will guide the development of tailored educational tools to boost financial literacy and confidence among youth across Europe 🚀
