About Us
FinaLY, is an Erasmus+ funded project, which aims to enhance the financial literacy of young adults through tailored educational resources and workshops.
Youth is transitioning into the phase where they make important financial decisions, facing a complex financial world filled with challenges and opportunities. The project addresses the concerning statistic which revealed that approximately half of EU adults lack a full comprehension of basic financial concepts, according to the OECD/INFE 2020 international survey on adult financial literacy. With a focus on guiding youth through market navigation and prudent spending management.
FinaLY seeks to empower the next generation with crucial financial skills for their future.
Objectives
⦁ Identify targets group financial literacy level and preferences
⦁ Do quantitative and qualitative research
⦁ Create comprehensive report and present a clear picture of the target group’s current level of financial literacy
⦁ Develop educational materials
⦁ Implement physical and online workshops
Youth and young adults who are still trying to find their way in the market while also learning how to manage their spending
Future generations of businesspeople, professionals, sole proprietors, and bureaucrats, as well as the future of the EU
Educators and Trainers: Those involved in teaching or mentoring youth can use the website’s resources and updates to supplement their curriculum and stay up to date on the latest project developments.
Consortium
ECECT – European Centre for Emerging Competencies and Technologies is a non-profit organization founded in 2020 in Cyprus, with the main objective to bridge the gap between actual market needs and job candidates, by educating youth, adults and adolescents. This is achieved by organizing, co-organizing, and supporting workshops, events, and other dissemination activities that can be undertaken in close collaboration with supporting organizations. ECECT is a coordinator and partner in multiple European projects and is conducting research and providing expertise in topics such as digital skills, IoT, AR/VR, AI, data analysis, robotics, and emerging technologies, etc.
Youthnet Cyprus, founded in 2012, is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting active participation of young people, including those with fewer opportunities, in local, national, European, and international initiatives. It achieves this through partnerships in Cyprus and abroad, as well as involvement in various EU programs. Initiated by a diverse group of young Cypriots experienced in EU programs and passionate about cultural diversity and non-formal learning, Youthnet Cyprus aims to spread awareness and encourage engagement in European and International programs, helping young people to develop personally, socially, and professionally.
A local authority in Ireland, with over 15 years of experience with EU projects – many of them initiated and managed by them. The Council operates the Local Enterprise Office whose emphasis is job creation through enterprise, and which maintains direct and constant links with the HEI across the country and more widely across the EU.
